Isabel is a diagnosis checklist system that uses natural language [free text] processing. Isabel’s unique technology gives the provider a patient specific checklist based upon the symptoms, signs, tests and investigations.
Isabel’s natural language processing technology obviates the need for a clinician to answer multiple questions, make choices or choose options from a predetermined list. Isabel’s diagnoses database has been SNOMED CT® coded which means it can be easily interfaced within EMR systems and gives the provider diagnosis decision support and disease specific knowledge with a single click.
The query string method is used to send the patient's age, gender, pregnancy, symptoms, signs, results of tests and investigations, problem list from the EMR to web-based Isabel. Using this link, you can also download instructions for the Query String method here.
2. Construct your own query string. Start by entering your user ID and password, then select your age band, gender, pregnancy (if relevant) and region. Lastly enter your query text (comma separated or pipe separated). Finally click on GO and wait for the result.
